Mix up your fall with this easy apple cider ginger beer cocktail! A perfect blend of sweet apple and spicy ginger, it’s the ultimate cozy drink for autumn nights.

Apple Cider Ginger Beer Cocktails

I’ve got a delicious drink for you today that’s absolutely perfect for fall!

Ginger beer is pretty popular in a lot of mixed drinks these days – like Moscow mules. It adds that fizzy and spicy element, making the mule that much more delicious.

Now what if you add apple cider to it? An apple cider Moscow mule? Basically. And you’re going to love it.

You’ll try this apple cider ginger beer cocktail and be immediately whisked away to a land of autumn leaves and cool breezes . . . even if the weather is still hot where you are (like it is where I am).

I just love fall and the flavors that go with it, so this cocktail is just about as good as it gets for me.

Note: I’ve been asked if the cider can be substituted with apple juice. The drink will taste much sweeter unless you use unsweetened juice. Give it a small taste test before you commit so your taste buds aren’t overwhelmed. You might not like it . . . but you might.

Apple cider moscow mule

One thing I really love about this fall cocktail, besides the crisp flavor, is how easy it goes down. I love a mixed drink with a considerable amount of alcohol that I can’t taste. Is that weird?

It’s more important to me to taste the other flavors of the beverage and have the alcohol accentuate them, rather than overwhelm them. This cocktail does that for me.

You don’t need to garnish the beverage, but it gives such a pretty look to your drink, especially if you are serving for a party. This recipe makes two servings – one for you and one for a friend!

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • Freshly squeezed apple cider – 8 ounces
  • Vodka – 3 ounces (add more if you wish)
  • Ginger beer
  • Cinnamon sticks and apple slices for garnishing
  • Handful of ice cubes

Pour your apple cider cocktail into the prepped glasses and top it off with the ginger beer. Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon stick. Enjoy!

cherry whiskey sour recipe

We recently shared with you an amazing orange whiskey sour recipe, and we figured it was time to come around again with a different variation on a classic whiskey sour: the cherry whiskey sour.

The egg white is left out of this version, but we didn’t skimp on one important thing – the egg white whipped cream on top.

Maybe it’s because I’m a girl, but I love cherry cocktails . . . however this one doesn’t seem too feminine just by looks alone. I’m fond of this as a summer cocktail, because it seems like the perfect time for cherry.

The flavor is smooth and tart – good enough that a man will get over any girly drink hesitations just to have one. The egg white whipped cream on top is a must in my opinion!

Tips for Making Delicious Cocktails

Making great cocktails is an art that combines creativity, technique, and attention to detail. Here are some tips to help you craft exceptional drinks.

Start with Quality Ingredients

Use high-quality spirits and fresh juices. The quality of your ingredients greatly influences the final taste of your cocktail.

Measure Precisely

Invest in a jigger or measuring tools to ensure accurate proportions. Consistency in measurements is key to achieving a balanced flavor profile.

Chill Your Glassware

Pre-chill your glassware in the freezer or fill them with ice while preparing the cocktail to keep your drinks cold and refreshing.

Taste as You Go

Don’t be afraid to taste your cocktail-in-progress. Adjust ingredients if needed to achieve the desired flavor. I mean you don’t need to be told to do this . . . right?

Bottle of Traverse City whiskey, cherry cocktail, and lime

Remember that making cocktails is both a science and an art, so don’t be afraid to get creative and have fun with your creations. Over time, you’ll develop your own signature cocktails and techniques!

Here’s what you’re going to need to make this drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Bourbon Whiskey
  • 2 1/2 ounces cherry juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1 Maraschino cherry
  • Ice cubes
  • Egg white whipped cream (optional)

Egg White Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment add egg whites and beat until peaks form.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Spoon into a bowl and place into the refrigerator to chill.

Note: if you would like to use pasteurized egg, you can purchase egg whites at the store. It tends to create a rockier foam, but a lot of people can’t tell the difference.

In this Irish White Russian recipe, you’ll replace the classic vodka and Kahlua with Irish whiskey and Bailey’s coffee liqueur. This speciality Irish cream and whiskey is a fun twist on my favorite drink!

Four-Ingredient Festive Irish White Russian Cocktail

Being totally honest, this is one of my favorite drinks this time of year. So delicious! I love the Kahlúa mixed with vodka and heavy cream – it’s almost like a dessert!

I’m used to the original drink, but have you ever tried a twist on the classic White Russian recipe? You’re about to.

Technically it was first called a “black Russian,” then when cream was added to the beverage, the “black” changed to “white” (although you can still order black Russians these days).

Everyone believes it’s because of the vodka in the original recipe, and the cocktail has been called that since the 1940s.

We’re bringing a pot of Irish gold with our Irish White Russian recipe. This cocktail recipe is a whimsical play on the iconic, legendary and stalwart cocktail.

We decided to have a bit of fun and replaced the longstanding vodka with the one-upmanship of Irish whiskey. It’s technically not “Russian” anymore, and so I guess we can call it by a new name: a White Leprechaun!

Irish White Russian Ingredients - Coffee Liqueur, Kahlua, Heavy Cream, Whiskey

We horse traded the Kahlúa for a spot of bright-eyed and busy-tailed coffee liqueur, and we’ve also swirled into the mix a thimbleful (or more) of Bailey’s Irish Cream liqueur. What is the difference between the two? Here’s what the experts have to say:

  • “Bailey’s is smoother and buttery sweet. Kahlua is more coffee flavored.”
  • “Bailey’s tastes kinda nutty; Kahlua tastes more like chocolate.”
  • “Kahlua is coffee flavored in a rum base and is made with smashed Arabica coffee beans, caramelized sugar or corn syrup, and vanilla beans. Baileys is an Irish Whiskey base and caramelized sugar or corn syrup and cream (creamy toasted-caramel flavor).”

After a taste of our decidedly Gaelic infusion, tell us we’ve done something wrong. You won’t. Now here’s the recipe. Oh, and by the way, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Ingredients

Glass: Use a standard rocks or whiskey glass.

And whether or not you get “the chronics,” drink responsibly and never drink and drive.

Raspberry Champagne Cocktail to Ring in the New Year

How do you feel about the new year? Are you going to miss last year . . . or are you ready to say “Bye Felicia” and move on as quickly as possible?

No matter which way you feel, I’ve got a champagne drink you’re going to love, with a special addition: tasty raspberry liqueur that adds the perfect flavor to this cocktail.

I’ve toasted the new year many times with a plain ol’ glass of champagne, but I’m one of those people ready to let this past year go bye-bye as quickly as possible so I think it’s time to do something different.

I’m really excited about the coming year, because I have a plan. And I know plans don’t always work out the way you think, but it feels good to have goals. I didn’t have them previously so I ended up feeling a little lost.

Two flutes with raspberries, two small bottles of champagne, and a shot glass full of vodka

This champagne winter drink is for everyone, but it’s particularly for people like me who are ready for the new year to begin.

Who are hopeful for the possibilities.

Who acknowledge the trials and tribulations of the last year and they are moving on.

Cheers and happy new year!

Ingredients (one serving)

  • 1 ounce of vodka
  • 1 ounce of raspberry liqueur
  • Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
  • Fresh raspberries for garnishing

I’m not the girl to ask about champagnes to use for this cocktail – I don’t have a sophisticated palette necessarily. So what I do is let the experts choose!

I love the list from Town & Country here. What I really love is that there is a $10 bottle of Mumm’s on the list. You can get fancy if you choose, but you can also buy a simply delicious and inexpensive brand to use in the cocktail.

ENJOY! Trust me, it’s going to be impossible not to. Get the printable cocktail recipe below!
